We also somewhat frequently have toilets in a separate room from the shower/tub/washing machine, although that's become less common in modern houses. ![]() A separate laundry room is quite "fancy". I currently have a washing machine under the kitchen counter in my apartment, but it's more common in bathrooms here I think, it really depends on which room with plumbing has more space. ![]() It's a bit funny to me how uncanny we can perceive honestly minor cultural differences like that. I actually kind of like the mix of different geographical elements, it makes it feel more like a fantasy world to me :D Sliding windows and vinyl siding, on the other hand, are almost unheard of here. I feel like it's pretty clear that the game was made by Polish devs trying to make American houses, but they only really looked at the exteriors x) Radiators, wardrobes rather than walk-in closets (in base game houses), and washing machines in the bathroom definitely track with what I'm familiar with in central Europe. Friend of mine in England has just moved to a more "modern" house and it's the first time in her life that there's been a bathroom upstairs near the bedrooms. You'll find most kitchens/bathrooms are to the back of the house and on the ground floor and located close together to make the plumbing install more cost effective. The original house was built pre-modern plumbing and so they built an outbuilding which had a sink and an attached toilet. Growing up we had an old house and the laundry was outside in an outbuilding. Stacked washer dryer in the corner with a sink next to it. The bathroom in my house in Australia is called a "European bathroom" because it has the laundry in it.
